Ode to the Wild: A Camper‘s Ballad355

The city sleeps, a muffled hum, a distant, fading sigh,
But here, beneath the starlit dome, my spirit takes to fly.
The crackling fire, a vibrant heart, beats rhythm to the night,
While shadows dance and stories start, bathed in the amber light.

My canvas home, a simple tent, a refuge from the fray,
Where worries melt, and discontent gives way to brighter day.
The scent of pine, the dampened earth, a fragrance clean and bold,
A symphony of nature's worth, a story to unfold.

The sun ascends, a golden crown, upon the mountain's peak,
And paints the world in hues renown, before the day can speak.
The mist unwinds, a silver thread, through valleys deep and wide,
Where secrets lie, and dreams are bred, by nature's gentle tide.

I rise and greet the morning dew, a diamond on the grass,
And feel the strength of skies so blue, as moments softly pass.
The birds awake, a chorus bright, a melody of cheer,
That fills the soul with pure delight, dispelling every fear.

I wander forth, a path I trace, through forests old and deep,
Where ancient trees, with timeless grace, their silent vigil keep.
A babbling brook, a silver vein, that winds its way along,
A soothing balm, a sweet refrain, a nature's whispered song.

I climb the heights, the wind my guide, upon the rugged trail,
Where panoramic views abide, and breathtaking vistas hail.
The world unfolds, a tapestry, of colours rich and grand,
A masterpiece for all to see, created by God's hand.

And as the sun begins to set, a fiery, crimson blaze,
I find a spot, I can't forget, in nature's tranquil maze.
I watch the clouds, in shades of gold, and orange, pink, and red,
A canvas painted, brave and bold, before the night is spread.

The stars ignite, a million eyes, that twinkle in the dark,
A cosmic dance, before my eyes, a beacon and a spark.
The Milky Way, a silver stream, across the velvet night,
A wondrous, ethereal dream, a breathtaking, pure delight.

The fire crackles, low and deep, a comforting embrace,
As memories I gently keep, within this sacred space.
The sounds of night, a gentle hum, the crickets' soft refrain,
A lullaby, until the sun, awakens once again.

This simple life, devoid of stress, a freedom I embrace,
A connection found, a wilderness, a tranquil, sacred place.
No crowded streets, no hurried pace, just nature's gentle hand,
A feeling deep, I can't replace, within this wondrous land.

The solitude, a precious gift, a moment to reflect,
On all the beauty life has shift, and lessons I've collect.
The strength I find, the peace I gain, within this wild domain,
A renewed sense, a cleansing rain, that washes out the stain.

And so I lie, beneath the stars, and listen to the breeze,
And feel the earth, and heal my scars, and find a soul at ease.
The wild embrace, a silent plea, to leave behind the strife,
And find my place, and simply be, and live a fuller life.

For in the wild, my spirit soars, beyond the city's bound,
Where nature's heart forever pours, its beauty all around.
And as I sleep, beneath the sky, my heart with joy replete,
I dream of trails, and mountains high, and adventures bittersweet.

The dawn arrives, a promise bright, a new day to explore,
With renewed strength, and pure delight, I'll venture forth once more.
For in the wild, my heart finds peace, a solace deep and true,
And in this journey, I'll release, the old and welcome new.

So let us roam, where wild things grow, and find our peace anew,
Embrace the earth, let freedom flow, in all that we pursue.
For in the wild, a magic lies, a beauty to behold,
A treasure that forever ties, a story to be told.
