The ocean, though daunting at first, provides a sense of adventure and the potential for catching larger game fish (under strict adherence to catch and release practices, of course!).

Beyond the thrill of the catch, our fishing trips have become a platform for teaching Kai valuable life lessons. He’s learned about patience, perseverance, and the importance of respecting nature. He understands that not every cast results in a catch, and that's okay. He’s also learned about responsible angling – the importance of using barbless hooks, practicing catch and release for certain species, and leaving the environment cleaner than we found it.

We’ve shared countless moments of laughter and quiet contemplation on our fishing adventures. We've discussed everything from the latest superhero movie to the different types of birds we see soaring overhead. We’ve talked about the importance of protecting the environment and the wonders of the natural world.
