From challenging multi-day treks through rugged mountains to leisurely day hikes through picturesque forests, we cater to a wide range of experience levels and interests. We're currently recruiting for several key positions, including:
1. Lead Hiking Guides:
As a Lead Hiking Guide, you'll be responsible for leading and guiding groups of hikers on various trails, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. This role requires:
Extensive experience in hiking and backpacking, including navigation using map and compass or GPS.
Proven wilderness first aid and CPR certification (Wilderness First Responder preferred).
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage and motivate groups of varying sizes and skill levels.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and resourceful in challenging situations.
Physical fitness and stamina to lead strenuous hikes for extended periods.
Knowledge of Leave No Trace principles and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Experience with trip planning and logistics, including route selection, gear preparation, and risk assessment.
A passion for sharing your knowledge and love of the outdoors with others.
2. Assistant Hiking Guides:
Assistant Hiking Guides will support Lead Guides, assisting with group management, safety procedures, and logistics. This role is ideal for aspiring guides who are seeking to build their experience and skills. Requirements include:
Significant experience in hiking and backpacking.
Current first aid and CPR certification.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Strong physical fitness.
A willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
Familiarity with Leave No Trace principles.
3. Backcountry Support Staff:
Our Backcountry Support Staff plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our expeditions. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with gear preparation and maintenance.
Providing logistical support for multi-day treks (e.g., transporting gear, setting up camps).
Maintaining a clean and organized base camp.
Assisting with client needs and providing excellent customer service.
Strong physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Trip Planners and Coordinators:
We're also looking for experienced trip planners and coordinators to manage the logistical aspects of our expeditions. This involves:
Developing and refining hiking itineraries.
Managing bookings and reservations.
Coordinating transportation and logistics.
Communicating with clients and guides.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience with relevant software and booking systems.
