Four Girls Mountain Big Peak South Slope Climbing Route Client Experience44

Four Girls Mountain is located in the eastern part of the Qionglai Mountain Range, Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and is one of the six highest peaks in Sichuan. It is also known as the "Queen of the Qionglai Mountains". The main peak is 6,250 meters above sea level, ranking 41st among the 100 famous mountains in China.

The climbing season of Siguniang Mountain is May to October. The climbing route is mainly divided into two routes: the north slope route and the south slope route. The north slope route is more difficult, with large ups and downs and complicated terrain, suitable for experienced climbers. The South Slope Route is relatively easy to climb, with a shorter distance and a gentler slope, suitable for beginners and high-altitude trekking enthusiasts.

My friend and I chose the South Slope Route to climb the Four Girls Mountain Big Peak. We set off from Chengdu in the morning and arrived at the Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area in the afternoon. After purchasing tickets and renting equipment, we stayed at the hotel at the foot of the mountain for one night to adapt to the altitude.

The next day, we started our ascent from the Changpinggou Scenic Area. The weather was good and the scenery along the way was beautiful. We walked through lush forests, crossed sparkling streams, and climbed over rugged rocks. Along the way, we met many fellow climbers, some of whom were also climbing to the top of the mountain, and others were just enjoying the scenery.

After about 6 hours of trekking, we arrived at the No. 1 camp at an altitude of 3,600 meters. The camp is located in a meadow surrounded by mountains, with a wide view. We set up our tents and took a short rest. In the evening, we had dinner together and chatted with other climbers. The atmosphere was very harmonious.

The next day, we continued our ascent from the No. 1 camp. The terrain gradually became steeper and the altitude increased rapidly. We needed to use trekking poles to assist us in climbing. Along the way, we encountered several difficult sections, such as steep slopes and loose rocks. However, with the help of the guide and porter, we overcame these difficulties one by one.

After about 8 hours of climbing, we finally reached the top of the Four Girls Mountain Big Peak. Standing on the top of the mountain, we overlooked the surrounding mountains and the vast Chengdu Plain in the distance. The feeling of accomplishment was beyond words. We took photos to commemorate this unforgettable moment and enjoyed the beautiful scenery on the top of the mountain.

After a short rest, we began our descent. The descent was much easier than the ascent, but we still needed to be careful not to slip or fall. We returned to the No. 1 camp in about 4 hours and then continued our descent to the foot of the mountain. After a long day of climbing, we were finally able to return to the hotel and take a hot bath, which was a great relief.

The Four Girls Mountain Big Peak Climbing Route is a challenging but rewarding experience. It is a great choice for climbers of all levels. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, I highly recommend you to challenge this route and experience the beauty of the Four Girls Mountain.
