We took a taxi to Yabuli Ski Resort, which is about an hour's drive from Harbin. Yabuli is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts in China, and it was easy to see why. The resort boasts over 30 kilometers of well-groomed trails, ranging from beginner to expert levels. We rented our gear and purchased lift tickets, then eagerly made our way to the slopes.

On our second day in Harbin, we decided to take a break from skiing and explore other winter activities. We booked a snowmobiling and ice fishing tour on the frozen Songhua River. The tour operator picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the riverbank. We were given warm suits and helmets, then hopped on our snowmobiles and set off across the frozen expanse. The snowmobiling was exhilarating, and we enjoyed the stunning views of the snow-covered river and surrounding mountains. After about an hour of riding, we reached our ice fishing spot. We drilled holes in the ice and dropped our lines into the water. To our surprise, we caught several small fish, which our guide cooked up for us on a portable grill. It was a unique and memorable experience.

On our third day, we returned to Yabuli Ski Resort for more skiing. We spent the morning practicing our turns on the intermediate slopes, then challenged ourselves on some of the more advanced runs in the afternoon. We then explored the city's vibrant nightlife scene, visiting several bars and clubs.

Day 4: Ice and Snow World and Departure

On our final day in Harbin, we visited the Harbin Ice and Snow World. This is an annual ice and snow festival that features incredible ice sculptures, snow castles, and other winter attractions. We spent several hours wandering through the festival grounds, marveling at the intricate and colorful ice carvings. It was a fitting end to our winter adventure in Harbin.
